Set along the shores of Clearwater Bay, Kimpton Hotel Aqeos introduces a new standard of refined hospitality to Hainan Island. As the first Kimpton resort in China, this coastal retreat pairs contemporary design with a laid-back elegance that feels both fresh and timeless.

LEVELS played a central role in shaping the hotel’s food and beverage identity—leading the strategy, concept development, and branding for four distinct dining venues that each tell their own story:

Bar Ronero
A bold and spirited Rum Bar and Cocktail Salon that channels the rhythm of the tropics. Far from your typical hotel bar, Bar Ronero puts Latin America’s most iconic spirit front and center, with an extensive rum collection, vibrant cocktail culture, and a warm, unbuttoned energy. Expect rum tasting flights, live music, and cocktails with backbone.

STREAT
The resort’s all-day dining venue, STREAT brings together the bold, familiar flavours of Europe and Southeast Asia in a space designed for scale and energy. With seating for 220, the restaurant features multiple curated buffet zones and interactive live stations that reimagine the spirit of street food for a resort setting. After breakfast service, STREAT shifts to an à la carte menu showcasing Asian and Western favourites—designed to meet the evolving rhythms of the resort across peak and shoulder periods.

Hai Yu
A modern Chinese restaurant where tradition meets heat, Hai Yu brings together the refined elegance of Cantonese cuisine and the bold, expressive flavours of Sichuan. The space features a vibrant à la carte dining room anchored by a lively bar, while six contemporary private dining rooms and a grand salon offer elegant settings for gatherings and celebrations. Tableside presentations elevate the experience, adding theatre and refinement to dishes that are both grounded in heritage and rich with personality.

OZEN
A contemporary reimagining of the Japanese izakaya, OZEN unfolds in layers—each offering a distinct take on coastal Japanese dining. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the South China Sea, the experience moves from the intimacy of private teppanyaki and omakase rooms to the energy of the rooftop cocktail bar, where Japanese-inspired drinks are served with panoramic ocean views. The venue strikes a balance between precision and spontaneity—where flame, smoke, and spirit come together in a space that feels elevated but never formal.

From beachside cocktails to elevated Chinese cuisine, Kimpton Aqeos brings together coastal relaxation and world-class dining, marking a confident debut for Kimpton on one of Hainan’s most scenic shores.
